JAKARTA (January 3, 2021) - In order to build friendships and welcome 2021, the "PORDAM (Pioneer of Peace) Reunion Gathering in Early 2021" facilitated by the Pujiono Center for Social Work Action Forum was held, on Sunday, January 3 2021 starting at 15:00 to 18:30 WIB through online platform.
This activity is a continuation of the discussion of the results of the National Workshop in Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province on November 30, 2020, and also to prepare recommendations to the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. Previously, PORDAM or Peace Pioneers had been officially confirmed.
Therefore, the Directorate of Social Protection for Social Disaster Victims (PSKBS) of the Ministry of Social Affairs officially communicates to social offices and related institutions as well as members, as an effort to encourage the introduction, recognition, and acceptance of the parties towards PORDAM.
A total of 170 people took part in this Kangen Gathering, there were 155 PORDAM members, 15 representatives from the Directorate of Social Protection, Ministry of Social Affairs, POLTEKESOS Bandung, and the Team of Facilitators for the Social Work Forum-Pujiono Centre.
Dra. Sunarti, M.Sc., Director of PSKBS in Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs opened the Gathering with pride and said that the presence of PORDAM had been declared by 38 institutions.
“38 institutions have stated their need for the presence and contribution of PORDAM. Therefore, the Corps must close its line,” said Dra. Sunarti, M.Sc., Director of PSKBS in Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.
"The directorate is ready to receive input, coordinate and connect with other work units so that PORDAM becomes an element of dampening, supporting and maintaining social harmony," she added.
For Maluku PORDAM, Usman Masawoy, he hopes for continued support from the PSKBS Directorate of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. In addition, PORDAM invites all members to always be united and enthusiastic.
"Responsibilities are in sight, including program preparation, institutional consolidation, and coordination with the Social Office and other relevant institutions in the region," he said.
Yoedhi S Fakar from PORDAM South Sumatra explained how the Mesuji resolution that took place in Mesuji Regency.

"The workshop participants formed a formulation team from 14 provinces to formulate this resolution as a "Grand Strategy for PORDAM" which includes the Vision and Mission, Strategy, and proposed priority for the PORDAM program," he said.
In addition, several regional PORDAMs share reflections in 2020 for their respective regions.
“Social Harmony Forums were inaugurated in December 2020, including in Palu City (3 locations), Parigi Moutong regencies (4 locations), Tolitoli (2 locations), Banggai Laut (2 locations), North Morowali (1 location), Tojo Una-Una (2 locations), Poso (2 locations). In 2020 there has been a terrorist incident in Kab. Sigi where the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has reviewed and provided assistance,” explained Dahria, PORDAM of Central Sulawesi Province.
Dadang Wahidin from PORDAM of West Java Province also explained "The 2020 social harmony program has been implemented with a slight delay until early January 2021 to accommodate the aspirations of the members of the Commission VIII Council," he said.
“One of the important events is the seizure of water for rice fields in Cirebon and terrorism incidents around Bandung, Bogor and Depok. For this reason, it is carried out through social harmony programs and local wisdom," he added.
To note, the grand strategy of the Pioneers of Peace itself has a vision, namely "A safe, peaceful, and prosperous Indonesian society that prioritizes local wisdom and the spirit of gotong royong (mutual assistance) based on the spirit of patriotism." Then with the main mission "Making Peace Pioneers who are competent, compact and with integrity as a component of peace, unity and national unity."
Finally, Rosehan Ansyari, Head of Sub-Directorate for Prevention at the PSKBS Directorate said "I hope that all provinces and districts activate the PORDAM secretariat," he said.
