BANGKALAN (October 16, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs synergizes social assistance with the COVID-19 vaccine in Bangkalan Regency, East Java as a form of support in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini visited Bangkalan because he was assigned by President Joko Widodo to help accelerate the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in Bangkalan Regency.

 

"I received an assignment from the President to monitor vaccination activities in Bangkalan. This is closely related to vaccine achievements in Bangkalan which are still low. The government wants here (Bangkalan) to increase so that people are protected from COVID-19," said Social Minister Risma in Bangkalan Regency. Madura, Saturday (16/10).

 

To monitor 18 sub-districts in Bangkalan, the Minister of Social Affairs involved officials within the Ministry of Social Affairs who were assigned to monitor and ensure that people who received social assistance carried out the COVID-19 vaccination.

 

The Minister of Social Affairs assigned a team to hand over rice to residents who had been vaccinated, hand over compensation to orphans who were victims of COVID-19, and hand over Prosperous Family Cards (KKS) that had not been distributed.

 

After handing over social assistance in three sub-districts, the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin said that the Ministry of Social Affairs supports all regions to be able to carry out vaccinations optimally.

 

"What the Ministry of Social Affairs can do is to synergize social assistance so that the distribution of social assistance and vaccination can work together to deal with COVID-19," said Pepen.

 

As for the distribution of monitoring tasks, namely the Secretary General, Harry Hikmat on duty in Burneh District, Tanah Merah District and Galis District; Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin served in Arosbaya District, Geger District, and Klampis District; Director General of Social Empowerment, Edi Suharto served in Blega, Konang and Modung sub-districts; and the Inspector General, Dadang Iskandar, who works in Tanjung Bumi, Sepulu and Kokop sub-districts.

 

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, Robben Rico, was assigned to Bangkalan, Socah, and Kamal sub-districts, and the Director of Family Social Security (JSK), Heri Kris Sritanto, served in Klabang, Kwanyar, and Tragah sub-districts.

As is known, the Ministry of Social Affairs has prepared assistance for Bangkalan Regency in the form of 18 thousand packages of rice each containing 5 kilograms of rice, ATENSI assistance for orphans, and assistance for the Family Hope Program (PKH).
