JAKARTA (11th June 2020) - Early this morning, 02.23 am at local time (WIB) Mulya Jaya Center accept the return of PMI from Turkey. The PMI numbered 89 people, with details of 87 women and 2 men. They were sent back to Indonesia on the basis of the ongoing outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
All PMIs already have the Swab / PCR test results before they are returned to Indonesia and the overall results are negative. However, The "Mulya Jaya" Center in providing services still observes health rules and protocols according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) in handling COVID-19.
Head of The Center, Juena Sitepu explained, this is a form of commitment to service from "Mulya Jaya" Center since the COVID-19 pandemic has become a quarantine house and a temporary shelter for PMI and displaced residents. While in the Center, PMI will get the basic needs and psychological support according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at "Mulya Jaya" Center.
"Today we received another 89 PMI repatriated from Turkey and all of them have been swab-tested with negative results. Just like in the last April, we also received 108 PMIs from Malaysia who were returned to Indonesia and received temporary services at this Center, because this is our commitment to provide services to PMIs in following the directions from the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara and the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat, that the Center becomes a shelter for communities affected in the midst of this COVID-19,” Said Juena.
"All PMI are from Bali Province, while waiting for their return schedule, they will receive basic needs fulfillment services and psychosocial support services for them," said Juena.
According to the admission process at the "Mulya Jaya" Center, PMIs will be registered and identified first, and then given basic needs fulfillment, initial assessment by Social Workers, and included in psychosocial activities.
