Enhancing Roles and Functions, Community Social Workers Throughout Indonesia Visit Mulya Jaya Center
JAKARTA (October
25, 2022) - "Mulya Jaya" Center in Jakarta received a visit from
representatives of Community Social Workers (PSM) from all over Indonesia,
totaling 45 people accompanied by Social Worker Working Group Team and PSM of
the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Ministry of Social Affairs.
This activity aims
to enhance the role and function of PSM as the spearhead in providing services
to the Government for Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS), especially in
handling case responses.
The activity began
with a brief explanation of the purpose and objectives of the visit by Qoriah,
a representative from the Directorate General of Social Empowerment. Head of "Mulya
Jaya" Center Jakarta, Adrianus Alla introduced briefly the duties,
principles and functions of "Mulya Jaya" Center Jakarta. In addition,
the man, who is usually called Adri, also hoped that an in-person visit to Mulya
Jaya Center could provide new insights and strengthen cooperation to provide
direct services for PPKS.
"Thank you for
coming here, I hope that this visit can add insight and further establish
better cooperation in providing services to PPKS," said Adri.
PSM also conducted
debriefings with the Head of the Center and coordinated how to carry out case responses and resolve the
handling of cases encountered in the field.
Furthermore, PSM
were invited by the Head of the Center to tour the facilities and
infrastructure in Mulya Jaya environment and had the opportunity to directly
observe the activities of residents who were participating in Vocational
Training activities.
The Directorate General of Social Empowerment organized this activity for 5 days at the
Integrated Center “Pangudi Luhur” Bekasi, which was attended by 89 PSM
representatives from all over Indonesia. In this activity, PSM also visited Social
Welfare Center located in Bogor. In addition to seeing activities,
participants were also given training and various materials on handling PPKS by
experienced sources.
