Mamasa Regency, September 23, 2024 – In a village surrounded by green hills, hope is growing again amidst the simple lives of the residents of Mambi District, Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi. The presence of the “Dharma Guna” Center team in Bengkulu through the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program (ATENSI) from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, brought new smiles to those who have been longing for real attention and assistance.

No less than 304 Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS) received assistance in the form of basic food packages, cleaning equipment, and accessibility support equipment such as wheelchairs and tripods. The assistance, which has a total value of IDR 654,700,000; is designed not only to meet basic needs, but also to foster the economic independence of the community.

Syam Wuryani, Head of the “Dharma Guna” Center, said with eyes full of hope, "This is not just assistance, this is a form of our love and concern for others. We want the Mambi community to know that they are not alone." The sincere touch of the government through the ATENSI program was felt directly by those who needed it most.

One of the aid recipients, Nurlaela, an elderly person who struggles to meet her daily needs, could not hold back her tears when she received the basic food package. "I never imagined that I would receive attention like this from the government. It feels like someone reached out and said, 'You are not alone'. This is more than just assistance, this is attention that touches the heart," she said with tears in her eyes.

In Sondong Layuk Village, a resident named Asmiati can now smile with relief. The room that was previously uninhabitable has now changed to be more comfortable for resting. Sleeping on a new mattress, using soft pillows, and cooking with new equipment are simple things that now bring extraordinary happiness to Asmiati and her family.

Irwan, the Sub-district Head of Mambi District, expressed his deep gratitude for the presence of the "Dharma Guna" Center in his village. "I am very touched. This is more than just physical assistance, this is a form of real concern that touches the hearts of our residents," he said.

The ATENSI program is not just about providing assistance, but also conveys the message that the government is present in every level of society, embracing the marginalized, and helping them rise from their limitations. In remote areas of Mamasa, warmth and hope are rekindled, sowing new dreams for a better future.

The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Dharma Guna" Center in Bengkulu has proven that the government's presence is not only limited to numbers and reports, but also in the form of real touch, where the community needs it most. Hopefully this effort will continue, bringing hope at every step, and raising the spirits of the Mambi community and its surroundings.
