Wheelchair for Riky from East Halmahera
TERNATE (September
16, 2022) — MoSA through Wasana Bahagia Center in Ternate handed over Social
Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) to 50 beneficiaries in East Halmahera
Regency, North Maluku Province.
ATENSI handed over
to beneficiaries includes wheelchairs for 2 persons with physical disabilities,
adaptive canes for 10 persons with visual disabilities, and additional
nutrition for 50 elderly.
One of the
beneficiaries of ATENSI is Riky (14) who has had a physical disability since
childhood. According to Riky's mother, he often had a fever with stiffness at the
age of three months.
"Until now
Riky has not been able to talk, every day he can only eat porridge".
For the wheelchair
that her son received, Ani thanked MoSA. "Thank God, Riky already has a
wheelchair for sunbathing."
On this occasion
the Head of the East Halmahera Regency Social Office, Nurain Komdan expressed
his gratitude to MoSA for the assistance received by the beneficiaries.
"We hope that
this ATENSI program can continue to be implemented in East Halmahera Regency
and we are also committed to updating the data on beneficiaries who need
further treatment," said Nurain.
