BANTAENG (August 9th, 2024) - Ministry of
Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (MoSA), through the Pangurangi
Center in Takalar, South Sulawesi, continued to demonstrate its commitment to
support community welfare through the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program (ATENSI). On this occasion, assistance worth IDR 77
million was distributed to the community in Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi.
The ATENSI assistance was provided to those in need, including persons with disabilities, the elderly, orphans, and other vulnerable communities. This program aimed to improve the quality of life for beneficiaries through the provision of social assistance, social rehabilitation, and entrepreneurship development.
Salahuddin Yahya, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, accompanied the Chairman of the Commission VIII of the House of Representatives, Ashabul Kahfi, in the assistance distribution.
In his speech, Salahuddin urged that all assistance should be beneficial to the people of Bantaeng, and also called for SLRT (Integrated Referral Service System) personnel in Bantaeng Regency to receive follow-up activities and be coordinated with UKE 1, who was responsible for SRLT, Salahuddin said.
Ashabul Kahfi also conveyed the same message, hoping that the assistance could be utilized by the Bantaeng residents and that in the future, the assistance could be increased, the Chairman of Commission VIII of the House said.
The Head of the Pangurangi Center in Takalar Makassar, Cecep Sulaeman, delivered a report regarding the distribution of assistance that had been provided, and this was part of the government's ongoing efforts to ensure the welfare of all layers of society, especially since Bantaeng Regency was under the working area of Pangurangi Center in Takalar.
"Through the ATENSI program, we hope to help the Bantaeng residents to improve their standard of living. We are committed to continuously supporting and providing appropriate assistance," Cecep said.
MoSA hoped that through the ATENSI Program, the community welfare in Bantaeng Regency and other areas in South Sulawesi could continue to improve, and better economic independence could be created in the community.
