JAKARTA (25 Oktober 2023) — The Ministry of Social Affairs Command Center is now officially operating after it was inaugurated directly by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in the Hall of the Ministry of Social Affairs Office in Cawang Kencana Building.
Also attending this activity were representatives of Members of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), the National Commission on Disabilities, Echelon I and II Officials, and Functional Officials within the Ministry of Social Affairs.
In her remarks, the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini revealed that Social Affairs Command Center would become a data integration center, services, and community complaints that would be used to make it easier for the center to mobilize 31 centers, Social Companions, Peace Pioneers, and Tagana when a disaster occurs. The public can also submit complaints by phone or email.
"We will continue to improvise and cooperate with various parties. If there are complaints or reports, we can follow up quickly. If there is a disaster, we can see which center is closest, how many assistants or social workers, to the amount of buffer stock," said Minister Risma.
Social Affairs Minister Risma also hopes that Command Center can streamline time and make it easier for the center to mobilize officers in the nearest area.
Representing Commission VIII DPR RI, Inna Ammania emphasized that Commission VIII DPR RI will continuously support the Ministry of Social Affairs in solving social problems in Indonesia, even when a disaster occurs.
"Commission VIII supports the Command Center
of the Ministry of Social Affairs. For example, when there is a disaster, you
can map out how much the distribution is and what the community needs. We are all ready
to join hands with the Ministry of Social Affairs to realize the presence of
the state in society," said Inna.
