CIREBON (17 September 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs recorded that 711,126 or 71.1% of Beneficiary Families (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) had Independent Graduation. This data was recorded until August 2020.
The Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara, explained that the Graduation KPM and returned the Prosperous Family Card (KKS) for various reasons such as the improvement in their economy.
"From the report I received, as of last August, as many as 711,126 or 71.1% of the target of 1 million KPM have returned KKS cards because they are economically capable," explained the Minister of Social Affairs when grading 50 PKH KPM in Cirebon Regency, Thursday (17/9). ).
Juliari said that many KPMs graduated, thanks to the hard work of PKH Facilitators. For this reason, he is optimistic that the Graduation target of 1 million KPM this year can be exceeded.
"This cannot be separated from the cooperation of all parties, especially PKH Facilitators, who always provide guidance and direction to KPM. They are the spearhead of the success of this program,” added the former member of the DPR for two terms.
Even though he graduated, Juliari reminded his staff and PKH Facilitators, including Graduation KPM, to continue to have a strategy to encourage KPM for continue to improve their living standards.
Furthermore, he said there are several ways that can be taken so that KPM PKH can improve their standard of living, one of which is synergizing PKH with social empowerment programs, such as social entrepreneurship, KUBE, UEP and KUR.
"This PKH is actually a good poverty alleviation or empowerment program because it does not only provide assistance in the form of money, but there is a mentoring process," he said.
As for after Graduation, he continued, the task of the Ministry of Social Affairs for direct intervention on KPM has been completed. "Therefore, the banks that partner with us must capture this moment, so that after KPM Graduation gets KUR, it is the bank's turn to provide assistance."
To the Minister of Social Affairs, one of the Independent Graduation KPM from Indramayu Regency, Reni, admitted that he resigned from PKH because he was financially capable. "I'm ashamed because I can afford it and the house is pretty good," he said with a chuckle.
Being a recipient of PKH since 2017 and Graduation in 2020 thanks to being in the mobile herbal medicine business, he admitted that he decided to graduate independently without any coercion from the PKH Facilitator.
"It's my wish, not being forced. I feel that without the help of PKH, I can live independently," said Reni.
In the same place, the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, explained that of the 711,126 KPM who graduated nationally, there were 125,406 KPM from West Java Province.
"From that amount, today, we present 50 KPM PKH Graduation Year 2020 from Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, Kuningan Regency and Indramayu Regency. Their presence is for us to give appreciation for their achievements and hopefully their welfare will increase," explained Pepen.
On this occasion, continued Pepen, KUR assistance was handed over from Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) to 3 Graduating KPMs and from Bank Mandiri to 2 Graduating KPMs where the five of them had gone through the verification stage.
Pepen explained that in an effort to ensure that the distribution of PKH social assistance meets the 5T (Right Target, Right Time, Right Amount, Right Benefit and Right Administration), it is necessary to reconcile the distribution between the Directorate of Family Social Security, Social Service and HIMBARA as a social assistance distribution agency.
"The reconciled data are data on the distribution of social assistance for Phase I, Phase II and the distribution of the month for April, May and June with a total KPM of 10 million KPM with total assistance reaching Rp 21.5 trillion," explained Pepen in front of the PKH social assistance reconciliation participants. .

Meanwhile, the Regent of Cirebon, Imron Rosyadi, noted that 6,194 KPM stated Graduation from PKH participation in Cirebon Regency during 2020.
