Minister of Social Affairs Risma Encourages Child Victims of Sexual Violence in Ende
ENDE (February 28, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini provided moral support to child victims of sexual violence in Ende. The Minister of Social Affairs personally visited the victim at the Ende Police Station on Tuesday afternoon (28/2).
In his statement to the media, the Minister of Social Affairs will take the children to undergo social rehabilitation at the Efata Center in Kupang, considering that the victim's parents are not in Ende because they are migrant workers abroad.
During rehabilitation, the Minister of Social Affairs will guarantee education, psychological recovery, and the development of children's interests and talents. Meanwhile, from a legal standpoint, the Minister of Social Affairs has coordinated with the Head of the Police and the Ende District Attorney so that the perpetrators can be punished to the maximum.
