Minister of Social Affairs: The Family Hope Program Human Resources Must Have Graduation Targets for Beneficiary Families
WEST BANDUNG (July 4, 2020) - Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara instructed all Human Resources (HR) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) to be serious about delivering the Beneficiary Families (KPM) he was accompanying to quickly graduate or resign from the recipients social assistance. For that, they must have a graduation target in carrying out their duties.
"One of the most important Key of Performance Indicators (KPI) is the level of KPM graduation, that's the most important part of this program," said Social Minister Juliari at the Peak of the PKH HR Quality Improvement Event in West Bandung Regency, Saturday ( 4/7).
Accompanied by the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security (Linjamsos), Pepen Nazaruddin, Juliari said the Ministry of Social Affairs was currently drafting strict regulations so that PKH human resources could meet the target number of graduated KPMs.
"Indeed, the atmosphere of this pandemic is not easy either, the important thing is that they try their best, all out, so that the graduation targets are not too far away," explained the Minister of Social Affairs
The Ministry of Social Affairs itself has targeted the average KPI for KPM PKH graduation to be 10 percent. To achieve this target, PKH facilitators must door to door ask KPM PKH to resign voluntarily if their economic life is better after receiving social assistance.
Not only that, the Minister of Social Affairs also asked all PKH human resources to improve their abilities by participating in training activities organized by the Ministry and the local Social Service such as coordination meetings to improve the quality of PKH HR.
"Essentially, they must improve their quality in providing assistance in the field, especially now that the conditions are abnormal," pleaded the former chairman of IMI for two period.
In the coordination meeting, was present the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI, TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Setiawan Wangsaatmaja, Head of the West Java Provincial Social Service, Dodo Suhendar, to the ranks of Ministry of Social officials, starting from the Director General of Poverty Handling, Asep Sasa Purnama, to the Director General of Social Empowerment, Edi Suharto.
In the same place, the Director General of Social Protection and Security Pepen Nazaruddin, explained that the PKH coordination meeting was an effort to update the knowledge and skills and commitment of PKH human resources so that they could work more optimally to achieve program targets effectively.
"To stimulate their performance, we give awards to PKH HR," explained Pepen.
Appreciation to PKH HR
As a form of appreciation, the Minister of Social Affairs gave an award to Sri Wulandari, Pedes Subdistrict Assistant, Karawang Regency with a graduation of 120 KPM and Eni Nuraeni, Saribakti Village Assistant, Peundeuy District, Garut Regency with a graduation of 61 KPM.
Meanwhile, one companion, M. Ferry Dwi Cahyono from Batu City, East Java, received an award for writing a book entitled “Strategies for Supervision of Social Workers (Experience of Social Worker Supervisory PKH in East Java), which departed from his experience assisting the implementation of PKH.
"So, I have to express my gratitude and the highest appreciation for PKH HR who have really provided assistance to KPM in the field," concluded the Minister of Social Affairs.
The Coordination Meeting on Quality Improvement, which was attended by 47 PKH HR starting from Facilitators, Regency Coordinators/City Coordinators, Regional Coordinators, Regional Coordinators, to Social Workers Supervisors face-to-face and 500 PKH HR virtually from all over the region, was also broadcast via live streaming on the account Social media of the Directorate General of Social Security. The broadcast has reached more than 31 thousand PKH HR or 75 percent of the total 39 thousand PKH HR ranks throughout Indonesia.
