Ministry of Social Affairs Concentrates on Budget for Disaster Management
JAKARTA (27 April 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs concentrates the budget planning (RKA-K/L) for disaster management,
especially in the southern coastal areas.
"The Minister of
Social Affairs advised, please leave it to areas that are in the red zone,
especially along the south coast, which faces directly to the Indian Ocean, so
that the budget is concentrated on disaster management," said the
Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security of the
Ministry of Social Affairs, Robben Rico, conveyed the message from the Minister
of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, when he opened the Activity of
Strengthening the Planning Applicator of the Directorate General of Social Protection
and Security for the Year 2021 in Jakarta, Tuesday (27/4)
Applicators at the
regional level are asked to be serious in compiling the RKA-K/L document,
including deconcentration funds, because according to him, applicators in the
regions are an extension of the central government.
"We feel, it is
impossible to handle everything. So, I ask all officials at the Provincial
Social Services to be serious and not underestimate it," said Robben in
front of central and regional applicators.
RKA-K/L is a planning
and budgeting document containing the programs and activities of a K/L and as
an elaboration of the work plan of the K L in one fiscal year, as well as the
budget required to implement it.
Meanwhile,
deconcentration funds are funds that represent the delegation of functions or
authorities to the government under the K/L, usually carried out by the
governor / regional government.
Furthermore, he
emphasized that the budget disbursed by K/L, in this case, the Ministry of
Social Affairs, to the regions, must have clear outputs. "This is not a
routine activity, but actually an activity that we have to do and we are
accountable for," he said.
