Proud, PKH Facilitator Delivers Assisted KPM Graduation
CIANJUR (August 28, 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs inaugurated 12,128 Beneficiary Families (KPM) for the Family Hope Program (PKH) from Cianjur Regency, Thursday (27/8). Some of the KPM who graduated include success with their business/profession as a porridge maker, shop owner, and vegetable farmer.
Behind the business success and graduation of these KPMs, there is the role of social assistants. Adah Aliyah, one of them. A PKH social assistant who has been assigned to assist 600 KPM in Cimacan Village, Cipanas District, Cianjur Regency since 2012.
In her statement, she said that implementing independent graduation in the field is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. According to her, because they feel comfortable getting help, KPM has difficulty changing their mindset, even though they are already worthy of graduation.
"They should not depend entirely on government assistance. This assistance is to motivate them to become independent," said the woman who is familiarly called Aliyah.
In the context of accelerating graduation in PKH, the Ministry of Social Affairs targets independent graduation of 10 percent of the number of KPM assisted by each PKH Facilitator. This graduation is an important target for the Ministry of Social Affairs in alleviating poverty in Indonesia.
Even so, she continues to try to instill an understanding that PKH assistance will not always be provided by the government. Thanks to her persistence, the 66 KPM she assisted were willing to declare independent graduation with full awareness.
" Alhamdulillah , 66 of the KPM I assisted, wanted to graduate independently and today participated in the graduation procession," she said proudly.
Not only the KPM she assisted received the award, Aliyah also won second place in the category of the best Independent Graduation Achievement in Cianjur Regency. She admitted that she would continue to improve the self-graduation target, so that KPM could be economically independent.
"The award received is not the main goal, but how KPM can live in prosperity," she admitted.
Being able to realize graduation, added Aliyah, could not be separated from the guidance of the Regency Coordinator (Korkab) for PKH Implementation (PPKH) Region 2 Cianjur, Astri Yustinawati.
"Mrs. Astri always guides us to be able to carry out independent graduation," she said.
The graduation procession was led by the Director General of Social Protection and Security (Linjamsos), Pepen Nazaruddin, as representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, along with Acting Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman.
Pepen appreciates the KPM decision to no longer receive social assistance from the government through PKH. "I am grateful that many beneficiaries have succeeded in their business, the event is also successful, this can be used as an example, graduating at a five-star hotel," said Pepen in front of the graduates.
Meanwhile, Plt. The Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman, praised the success of KPM from underprivileged families who were able to break away from the government's social assistance program. As a form of appreciation, he provides business capital to former KPMs who have graduated independently.
"To help KPM graduate independently, the Cianjur Regency Government provides Productive Economic Enterprises (UEP) assistance of 2 million rupiah for each KPM". This (assistance) is to support them in doing entrepreneurship,” he explained.
As for the PKH Facilitator concerned, continued Herman, the incentives will be increased and for the Regency Coordinator a laptop will be provided with the aim of improving performance.
"We did this solely to motivate other PKH human resources to carry out independent graduation according to the government's target," he said.
