BANGKALAN DISTRICT (October 16, 2021) - The Directorate General of Poverty Handling visited Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province with an agenda for evaluating the implementation of the Social Assistance for the Basic Food Program. The activity took place at the branch office of Bank BRI Bangkalan Regency (16/10).

 

In this activity, the Director General of Poverty Handling, Asep Sasa Purnama ensured that the data on the implementation of the BPNT Social Assistance / Sembako Program was carried out through the distribution process of Social Assistance by the channeling bank (BRI) to the KKS KPM account, then proceeded with the transaction or utilization process in the Bangkalan Regency area and dig up information related to obstacles and solutions to poverty alleviation in the community.

 

In this activity, the Director General of PFM said that in the context of poverty alleviation, it is hoped that all parties can work together to increase effectiveness and be able to solve problems, especially for KPMs who experience difficulties in conducting social assistance distribution transactions. "We hope that in the successful implementation of this social assistance, it is hoped that all parties can help synergize together to deal with existing problems, it is also hoped that KPM can increase their potential so that social welfare grows in the community," said the Director General of PFM.

 

The Director General of PFM asked channeling banks and social services to pay attention to assistance for KPM who are experiencing obstacles and can be resolved immediately so that the distribution of social assistance reaches the expected target.

 

In this activity, it was conveyed, for the implementation of the Basic Food Program in Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province in stages 7, 8, and 9 through channeling banks (BRI) from a total of 82,401 KPM, which had made transactions of 77,375 KPM.

 

Present at the event were the Head of the Bangkalan District Social Service, Wibagio Siharta, the Bangkalan Himbara (BRI) Representative, including the head of the BRI branch office, Muhammad Amalu, the Social Office Staff of the Bangkalan District Social Service, Ady Rokib as well as some staff from the Directorate General of PFM and Regional Coordinators of Bangkalan Regency.
