MAGELANG REGENCY (June 5, 2021) – The Director General of Poverty Handling (PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama visited the Barokah KUBE in Kemutuk Village, Magelang Regency. KUBE Barokah received business assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2019 in the form of a cow farming business.

 

The Director General of PFM saw that the KUBE Barokah has two healthy and large cows, and one of the cows has given birth. Apart from cow breeding, there is also a goat and sheep farm, in this village, there is also a lot of agricultural lands, one of the residents' agricultural products that has a fairly high economic value is cardamom.

 

"The village of Kemutuk is located in a very fertile mountain location, which is at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, so it is very suitable for developing livestock because livestock feed is easily available in this area," said the Director General of PFM.

 

The Director General of PFM conveyed that one of the tips in alleviating poverty is to empower the community to have independence in their work, especially in agriculture and animal farm, even the dung from cow farming can be used as material to help fertilize people's agriculture.

 

"It is not impossible that this area will become a center for agriculture and animal farm when all citizens are enthusiastic, supported by the central and regional governments, and synergize with other ministries," said the Director General of PFM.

 

Present at the activity were the Head of the PFM Division of the Social Service of Central Java Province, Teguh, Head of Social Affairs and PFM of the Social Service of Magelang Regency, Ani Indrayani, Head of Kemutuk Village, Mr. Siswanto, and the local community.
