SUBANG REGENCY (17 June 2021) - Director General of
Poverty Handling (PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama accompanied Member of Commission VIII
of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Jefry Romdony on a working visit to
Subang Regency, West Java. The activity, which was carried out with the
Directorate of Poverty Handling Region I, was initiated by a Focus Group
Discussion (FGD) in the Meeting Room of the Subang Regent, which is located at
Jalan Dewi Sartika Number 2, Pasirkareumbi Village, Subang Regency.
Coordination and
consolidation through FGDs was carried out by involving representatives of the
Directorate General of Poverty Handling, Representatives of the Subang Regency
Government, Food Social Assistance facilitators throughout Subang Regency,
strategic partners represented by Bank Rakyat Indonesia and PT Pos Indonesia.
Activities are carried out with strict health protocols as a form of commitment
to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his remarks, the
Director General of PFM stated that the working visit of members of Commission
VIII was very important to measure the performance of social assistance
distribution for handling the poor. "Hopefully, with the resignation of
Mr. Jefry Romdony, he can absorb aspirations, know the problems and appreciate
the success of poverty alleviation to be translated into regulations that are
the authority of the legislative body," said the Director General of PFM.
With the abolition of the
business capital budget at the Directorate General of Poverty Handling, the
Director General of PFM left a message to BRI as a strategic partner to be able
to provide People's Business Credit (KUR) for the poor who receive social
assistance at the lowest interest rates.
Member of Commission VIII
of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra Party, Jefry Romdony, said he
was very happy to be able to interact directly with poverty alleviation
stakeholders in Subang Regency. "Subang's condition is getting better
because the number of recipients of aid is decreasing over time, indicators of
the people of Subang are getting better economic conditions," he said.
For Subang Regency, in
June 2021, the number of KPM for the Basic Food Program was 62,453 KPM and the
number of KPM for Cash Social Assistance in April 2021 was 165,803 KPM.
