SURABAYA (December 12th 2019) - Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Juliari P. Batubara together with the Director General for the Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM) Andi ZA Dulung visited the Sambikerep Sukses Gotong Royong (e-Warong) Electronics in Sambikerep District, Surabaya City. The purpose of the visit of the Minister of Social Affairs and the Director General of PFM is to ensure that assistance to Beneficiary Families (KPM) is on target and their welfare increases.
Upon arrival, the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs and the Director General of PFM were welcomed by the Director of PFM Region III Nur Pujianto along with members of the Joint Business Group (KUBE) who were the administrators of the e-Warong.
After the reception, the Minister of Social Affairs gave directions to the KPM who were present so that they could continue to try to improve their standard of living and escape poverty. "If the people are prosperous, God willing, the country will progress, if the country is advanced our children will also be able to progress," said the Minister of Social Affairs motivating the KPM.
The Minister of Social Affairs explained that to make the people prosperous, the quality of education must also be improved. The plan is that in February 2020 a Smart Indonesia Card will be issued for college, which is one way to advance children's education in Indonesia. "I guarantee that their children can go to college. The President instructed in February that the Indonesia Smart College Card will be issued," explained the Minister of Social Affairs.
The Minister of Social Affairs said that KUBE is not just selling but is expected to increase the dignity to be free from poverty. "KUBE is not just for selling but to elevate the dignity of people's lives. That is the essence. I hope that you can graduate, like school you have to graduate, except going out with your teacher. We don't keep dating with the program," joked the Social Minister to KPM to raise his enthusiasm.
With the KUBE program, the Minister of Social Affairs hopes that the recipients will be more developed and creative and can get out of integrated data. "The women already earn 1 million per month, they already get more income, so they are no longer assisted. So they can be given those who are more in need in accordance with the fifth principle of Pancasila," explained the Minister of Social Affairs.
Before leaving the location, the Minister of Social Affairs gave a message to the local regional head to always pay attention and motivate KPM not to give up in carrying out this business activity. "So I think I don't want a long speech. Good luck always and to the Head of the Village, please help the KPM to always be cared for (nurtured) so that they are always successful," the message of the Social Minister at the end of his direction.
