BANJARMASIN (December 20th 2019) - The Minister of Social Affairs, Mr. Juliari P. Batubara, accompanied by Mrs. Grace P. Batubara, attended the peak activity of the Month of Social Solidarity (BBKS) which was held at 0 kilometers, Banjarmasin City (20/12). This activity is a series of commemorating Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) 2019.
In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude for the participation of the community at the top of the BBKS in the framework of the 2019 HKSN. "HKSN is a moment to show and implement the strength, togetherness, and cohesiveness between components of the nation to deal with social problems," explained the Minister of Social Affairs.
The theme raised in the 2019 HKSN is "Social Solidarity Breaks Boundaries". According to the Minister of Social Affairs the theme is an implementation of the value of solidarity to break through social barriers that hinder progress. In addition, this theme was chosen in order to break the ice in the relationship that may arise in society. "This has made togetherness and balance come back and become a joint commitment of the Indonesian people," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also gave an award to the representative of the Provincial Social Service who was awarded the Performance Report for the Poverty Handling. The first rank was obtained by the Social Service for West Java Province, the second from the Social Service for West Sumatra Province, the third for the Social Service for Central Kalimantan Province, the fourth for the Social Service for West Kalimantan Province, and the fifth for the Social Service for South Sulawesi Province.
Previously, the Head of HKSN 2019 Mr. Kris Budihardjo and the Governor of South Kalimantan delivered the remarks by the Mayor of Banjarmasin, Mr. Ibnu Sina. In addition, this activity was also attended by echelon I and echelon II officials within the Ministry of Social Affairs as well as other invited guests who attended the event.
