PALANGKA RAYA (September 16, 2021) - The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, made a working visit with the agenda of matching data on recipients of social assistance from BPNT/Sembako and PKH programs in the Central Kalimantan Province, which was located in a hotel in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. (16/09)

The Minister of Social Affairs conveyed that the number of non-distribution of KKS and no transactions for the assistance of the Basic Food Program in Central Kalimantan was still quite high. This is caused by geographical conditions and the distance between distribution locations is very far. As in the previous meeting, the Minister of Social Affairs appealed to channeling partners to distribute BPNT/Sembako and PKH assistance in locations that are difficult to reach together so that operational costs can be more efficient.

The Minister of Social Affairs hopes that the distribution process can be completed before the end of this month considering that several areas in Central Kalimantan Province have just been hit by floods. This is intended to ease the burden on people affected by floods, especially the Beneficiary Families (KPM). "Assistance that has not been distributed are requested to be distributed immediately so that their burden is lighter, I hope that before this month all assistance will be distributed," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs conveyed to the channeling bank and Social Service so that assistance for KPM who had died or migrated who were still underprivileged would still be given by being represented by one of the family members with a power of attorney. “To our channeling bank friends, social services, and assistants so that assistance can still be given to KPMs who have died or have migrated. Because the bereaved family still needs help, so they can be represented by bringing power of attorney," explained the Minister of Social Affairs.

For KPMs who have graduated, the Minister of Social Affairs gives authority to local regional heads to replace KPMs by writing a letter to the Ministry of Social Affairs so that assistance will move to other underprivileged communities and become targeted. "For KPMs who have graduated, please ask the parents (regional heads) to replace them with new ones, but please write to us to validate the data," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

Regarding the multiple Family Cards (KK) in the Cash Social Assistance (BST) program, the Minister of Social Affairs explained that there is more than one KK at the same address. He instructed the assistants to go to the field to make sure the beneficiaries needed help or not. “For the companions, immediately go to the field, if there are multiple KK and still need help, just give it. Because there is more than one KK (at one address) it doesn't mean they are capable," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

In matching the data for the Basic Food Program in Palangka Raya City, there are still around 3,247 KPM from 32,223 recipients who have not made transactions to date. Similar to the Basic Food Program, Cash Social Assistance (BST) still has 3,961 KPM out of 57,413 KPM that have not been realized.

Present at the event were the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan, Edy Pratowo, Deputy Kapolda of Central Kalimantan, Ida Oetari Poernamasasi, Special Staff to the Minister of Social Affairs for Communication and Mass Media, Don Rozano Sigit, Director General of PFM, Asep Sasa Purnama, Secretary of the Directorate General of PFM, Beni Sujanto, Director PFM Region II, I Wayan Wirawan, representatives of the Palangka Raya City Social Service, Katingan District Social Service, Kapuas District Social Service, and representatives of channel partners including Bank BRI, Bank Mandiri, and PT Pos Indonesia in Central Kalimantan Province.
