JAKARTA (January 30, 2020) - Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara expressed his hope that social empowerment programs run by the Ministry of Social Affairs can make poor families or beneficiary families (KPM) prosperous."We do not care for the poor, Beneficiary Families (KPM) also not only reduce their spending but also help them become a prosperous family," Social Minister said at the 2020 Ministry of Social Affairs Resolution event at Kalibata TMP Convention Hall.

Minister of Social Affairs targets Social Assistance programs such as the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Sembako Program not only has presidential regulations but also legislation.He said he intended for the program to continue. "For example PKH and BPNT (Non-Cash Food Assistance Program) (currently Sembako Program), this program has no legal umbrella, there is only presidential regulation, this year I will focus so that we have legislation for this (program), want to be its social minister who, whose president, the program can continue," Minister of Social Affairs said.

With this target, Minister of Social Affairs wants to continue by synergy with existing business models with empowerment programs such as KUBE (Joint Business Group) and Social Entrepreneurship. "Business model that is relatively existing try to synergize with our program in the ministry, for example PKH (Family Hope Program) and Sembako Program, in the future we should try to start with the empowerment scheme of existing programs such as KUBE and Social Entrepreneurship," explained Minister of Social Affairs.

Finally Minister of Social Affairs explained that if all these plans can run smoothly hopefully the budget for KUBE and Entrepreneurship can be improved. "Hopefully if everything is smooth budget for KUBE and Social Entrepreneurship maybe we can raise it," concluded Minister of Social Affairs.

Before explaining about the empowerment program, Minister of Social Affairs also presented the Resolution of the Ministry of Social Affairs 2020 which is Towards High Performance Organizations.The tagline that minister echoed to achieve the resolution is Ministry of Social Affairs "HADIR" which stands for Humanist, Adaptive, Dedicative, Inclusive, and Responsive.

The event was attended by structural and functional officials in the Ministry of Social Affairs, including the Director General of Poverty Handling), Andi ZA Dulung and Echelon Officials II, III, and IV in the environment of the Directorate General of Poverty Handling. On that occasion, the Director General of PFM also presented the resolution, namely The Success of Food Social Assistance of Ministry of Social Affairs, Working Happily, Onward and Bright Indonesia.
