BATANG DISTRICT (9 September 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs together with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia made a working visit to Batang Regency to supervise the distribution of Non-Cash Food Aid / Basic Food Program and Family Hope Program (9/9).

The Regent of Batang, Wihaji welcomed the working visit at the office of the Regent of Batang. During the meeting, the Regent of Batang conveyed the obstacles regarding the distribution of social assistance in the Batang Regency. Some of these obstacles include the existence of Prosperous Family Cards (KKS) with zero balances, NIK that have not been matched with Dukcapil (Population and Civil Registry), and there are still KKS that have not been distributed.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII, Ace Hasan Syadzily, responded to the problem, stating that this working visit also wanted to ensure that various problems in distributing social assistance had to be resolved.

"It's not for blaming each other, but we have to find a solution so that the people's needs can be met," said the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII.

The Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII said that for 2021 the Ministry of Social Affairs is one of the ministries that has a large budget of IDR 107 trillion.

"Currently the situation is still a pandemic so there is a social protection policy for people affected by Covid-19. We want to make sure the distribution is right and accurate because the community needs it,” said the Deputy Chair of Commission VIII.

Furthermore, the Director General of Poverty Handling (PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama when interviewed at a separate time conveyed several solutions that must be done in dealing with the problem of distributing social assistance in Batang Regency.

According to the Director General of PFM, the most appropriate step for each card that is not distributed successfully or is suspected to have a zero balance is to explain one by one the reasons for this.

Currently, the data used is based on by name by NIK, by using this more specific method, it is hoped that the distribution of social assistance can be 100% implemented. In terms of time, it's still September. For Himbara (State-owned Bank Association) there are still approximately 5% of the fund disbursement warrants (SP2D) that have not been successful yet.

"To fulfill this, Himbara should consolidate data by name by NIK by parsing data one by one which can be assisted by district/city social services, social assistance for food social assistance and villages/sub-district can also contribute," explained the Director General of PFM.

Present at the event were the Special Staff to the Minister for Communications and Mass Media, Don Rozano Sigit, Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, Secretary of the Directorate General of PFM, Beni Sujanto, Director of PFM Region II, I Wayan Wirawan, members of Commission VIII, Head of Social Office of Batang Regency, Joko Tetuko, representatives of state bank associations, and representatives of PT. Pos Indonesia.
