Jakarta (March 5, 2025) – Following up on President Prabowo Subianto's direction, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf held a meeting to discuss the acceleration of the development of Community School at the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) Office, Wednesday (3/5/2024). In addition to breaking the chain of poverty, Community School is a real effort by the government to revive the poor and extremely poor to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045.

“First, this (Community School) is a concrete form of the president's efforts to honor the poor. Second, it also encourages the poor to rise, to be more advanced, more empowered, and later play a significant role in Golden Indonesia in 2045,” said Gus Ipul.

Community Schools are a real effort by the government to break the chain of poverty by honoring the poor and extremely poor, as well as encouraging them to rise and be empowered. In this way, it is hoped that the poor and extremely poor can play a role in creating a Golden Indonesia 2045.

In line with Gus Ipul, the Head of the Community School Formator Team, Mohammad Nuh, also believes that education for the dhuafa (the poor) is the key to achieving a golden Indonesia.

"The key to Indonesia's glory is the dhuafa. If the dhuafa have risen, then Indonesia will be glorious, and we want to prove that," said Mohammad Nuh.

According to him, the government has taken the right steps to build this Community School. He added that, according to various studies, both academic and empirical, education has been proven to be one of the factors that breaks the chain of poverty.

Through this Community School, Mohammad Nuh hopes that the self-confidence of the poor and extremely poor will grow, and they can rise to contribute to building Indonesia.

"Now is the time for the dhuafa to rise. Have strong self-confidence, have a very clear future through our education world," he added.

In establishing a community school with the concept of a boarding school, Mohammad Nuh believes that there are various aspects that must be considered. This includes school permits, teaching staff, and the curriculum. In addition, he also added that governance and quality control are also important because they involve monitoring the quality of schools.

To discuss all these aspects, Gus Ipul also formed a formator team and the Community School Acceleration Task Force. Various Ministries/Institutions that attended the meeting were the Ministry of Community Empowerment, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Ministry of Home Affairs, Bappenas (Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency), Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

In addition, there were also the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Finance, National Civil Service Agency, State Administration Institute, Presidential Staff Office, Regional Governments, and the universities to realize the aspects needed by Community School.

Gus Ipul said that these Ministries/Institutions will later be included in the Task Force and focus on preparing the acceleration of the development of Community School according to their respective fields.

"So later, God willing, it will be supported by ministries, institutions that have duties and functions in certain fields," he said.
