Jakarta (October 31, 2024) - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) discussed efforts to compile single data with Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar at the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment Office on Thursday (31/10/2024). The single data will later become a reference for various Ministries/institutions for providing various kinds of assistance to the community.
“This single data will be a single reference for all ministries and institutions. Several ministries have this data. Later, God willing, the Coordinating Minister will try to coordinate it to be integrated and reported to the President, then it will become single data,” Gus Ipul said.
The single data will contain three stages of poverty, namely extreme poor, poor, and vulnerable. These stages will determine the type and amount of assistance provided. People can get different assistance, depending on which category they are in.
Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) added that efforts to compile the single data will involve various stakeholders. He hopes that with this single data, aid recipients will be integrated and not continue to be recipients of social assistance.
“We hope that from the data, those who get social assistance will gradually upgrade. So that someone will not always become the lowest beneficiary because there will also be empowerment,” said Cak Imin.
The preparation of this single data is very important to meet the basic needs of the community, including food, shelter, health, education, and others. Therefore, Gus Ipul appreciates the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment for welcoming them to discuss this single data.
“We are quite grateful because the Coordinating Minister is so quick to establish this coordination well, either the Ministry of Social Affairs or with other ministries under the coordination of the Coordinating Minister so that in 2025, we can all run faster,” Gus Ipul said with appreciation.
