“In the future, we will establish cooperation to overcome existing problems, as well as improve the welfare of migrant workers who face problems,” said the minister who is familiarly called ‘Gus Ipul’.
Collaboration and synergy between the Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI will be realized in a concrete cooperation model in the field. Efforts will be taken, among others, by selecting slices where the two Ministries can work together in the form of empowerment, assistance, and other programs. In carrying out these efforts, both the Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI will work measurably according to the direction given by President Prabowo Subianto.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI is a step taken to protect migrant workers so that exploitation no longer occurs and provide interventions for migrant workers who face problems after their return from abroad.
P2MI Minister Abdul Kadir Karding revealed that he could not walk alone to solve all the problems of migrant workers in Indonesia. KP2MI will collaborate with various Ministries and Institutions, and the Ministry of Social Affairs is one of them. In this collaboration, KP2MI will measurably set targets and use the right data.
“This is an area where we need the help of the Ministry of Social Affairs so that we can jointly empower them to become prosperous again,” said Karding.
