SEMARANG (October 29, 2024) – During his visit to Semarang on Tuesday (10/29/2024), Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) underlined the need for accurate data to ensure that social aid reaches its intended beneficiaries. One of Gus Ipul's initiatives involves various parties working to improve the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

"We continue to improve our data, involving everyone from the village level, holding village meetings, and sending the information to district/city heads via the social office," Gus Ipul told the reporters at the Bulu Lor Community Center in Semarang.

Accurate data will ensure that vulnerable populations' basic rights are respected, providing protection and social security. As a result, the data-gathering process must be done correctly, commencing at the lowest levels, including host communities.

Furthermore, Gus Ipul indicated that the efforts to improve DTKS are aligned with President Prabowo's direction.

"President Prabowo's message is clear: start work in a measurable way. And to be measurable, it must begin with data," Gus Ipul stated.

In addition to DTKS improvements, Gus Ipul has been touring various cities to ensure that social aid reaches the intended beneficiaries. This time, Gus Ipul was accompanied by Vice Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo Priyono to Semarang.

During their visit, Gus Ipul and Vice Minister Agus met with and handed out aid to elderly beneficiaries and recipients from the Orphans Assistance Program (YAPI).

Gus Ipul also symbolically distributed aid valued at IDR71,943,577,891. This included food assistance for single elderly people, YAPI assistance, Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI), Family Hope Program (PKH) assistance, and basic food assistance for Semarang.
