JAKARTA (November 28, 2022) - Tri Rismaharini, who currently serves as Minister of Social Affairs, received the Nawacita Awards 2022 for the category of the national figure in the field of people's welfare.

On this occasion, Risma expressed her gratitude for the award given to her. "I would like to thank the committee and the jury for the award. Actually, I am afraid of the award given. Afraid of making myself arrogant and I give it all back to God because all of this is His blessing to make me who I am today. God bless us," said Risma.

Nawacita Awards is an award event held by PT. Media Nawacita Indonesia (MNI) to give appreciation to national figures in supporting and implementing the Nawacita program, namely the 9 national development priorities proclaimed by President Jokowi in 2014, as well as continuing the national values that have been fought for by the Founder of the Nation, Ir. Sukarno.

Apart from Risma, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy, also received a similar award. Risma received the award at the Ministry of Social Affairs office, Central Jakarta, Friday (25/11).

MNI Commissioner Faigiziduhu Ndruru explained that Risma's election had gone through a rigorous selection process from a jury consisting of Ade Armando (University of Indonesia Communication Lecturer), Sarman Simanjorang (Chamber of Commerce & Industry Deputy Chairperson) and Attorney August Gea.

Of the 81 names that were drafted by the jury, Risma's name appeared from the beginning to the final stage, without a single debate from the jury. "According to the direction of the Chairman of the MNI Board of Trustees Yasonna H. Laoly, we, the Nawacita Awards organizing committee cannot intervene in the decisions that have been made. Everything is the prerogative of the jury," said Faigiziduhu Nduru.

The highlight of the Nawacita Awards 2022 was held at the JS Luwansa Hotel, South Jakarta, last Friday (28/10). Risma could not attend due to her busy duties as the Minister of Social Affairs.
