KARANGASEM (March 26, 2024) - The Ministry of Social Affairs provided community empowerment training in the form of making hotel slippers to 20 Indonesian Economic Heroes (PENA) Beneficiaries from Bukit, Karangasem, and Tumbu sub-districts.

Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini Tuesday saw firsthand the process of making hotel slippers. The Minister said several hotel slipper results were neat but the making was not fast enough. Speed in production is important because it affects the earned income. However, she understood the case because this was the first training day.

This effort is in line with the Ministry of Social Affairs' empowerment program through PENA to build an entrepreneurial spirit and increase the entrepreneurial abilities of poor families, vulnerable groups, and remote groups.

The training was held by the Center for Education, Training and Professional Development (Pusdiklatbangprof) for three days from March 25 to 27, 2024 at the Multipurpose Building, Tumbu Village, Karangasem.
