SUMBAWA (20 December 2020) - A total of 297,881 Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) residents received life insurance assistance (jadup) for the Lombok earthquake that occurred in 2018. The recipients of this aid are spread across three districts, namely North Lombok, East Lombok and Sumbawa. The total assistance provided in this phase II of the disbursement of jadup reached IDR89,364,300,000. Previously, in disbursement of Jadup Phase I, the Ministry of Social Affairs had provided assistance amounting to IDR457,557,600,000.

This assistance was symbolically handed over by the ad Interim Social Minister, represented by the Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims (PSKBA), M. Safii Nasution, to the head of the NTB Provincial Social Service, H. Ahsanul Khalik, and witnessed by the Deputy Assistant for Emergency and Post-Disaster Management at the Coordinating Ministry for Disaster Management. PMK, Nelwan Harahap, along with local officials from each district who received jadup assistance. The Director of PSKBA emphasized that this assistance is aimed at those who have never received assistance, and he hopes that this assistance can be used wisely by the beneficiaries.
