KULON PROGO (16 August 2020) - On a sunny Sunday, this morning, potential members of the Disaster Alert Village (KSB) started debriefing activities for KSB in four villages on the south coast of Kulon Progo. The community is given material on potential disasters and ways of mitigating or preventing them.
Each village was asked to map potential sources of support such as health service centers, bridge infrastructure, rubber boats, and other things that could be used in the event of a disaster. The four villages are Bugel Village, Karangwuni Village, Glagah Village, and Banaran Village. By mapping the potential for disasters and sources of support, it is hoped that it can increase community preparedness.
