JAKARTA (November 7, 2024) – Ahead of the commemoration of Heroes' Day which falls on November 10, 2024, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs held a community service at the Kalibata Heroes' Cemetery (TMP), Jakarta. This activity was attended by hundreds of employees from the Ministry of Social Affairs who voluntarily took part in cleaning an area of ​​24.7 hectares. The main focus of this activity was cleaning the graves and headstones of the heroes who had fought for the nation.

During the community service, Ministry of Social Affairs' employees cleaned the graves, repaired the drainage, and painted the graves to ensure that the heroes' resting places remained well-maintained and habitable. Ministry of Social Affairs is committed to maintaining and honoring the services of the heroes who have given their all for Indonesia's independence. This activity also involved the surrounding social pillars that helped make the community service successful.

This community service activity is expected to inspire the community to participate in caring for and honoring the graves of the heroes. Through this action, the Ministry of Social Affairs invites all levels of society to remember the heroes' services and better protect the country. All activities carried out ran smoothly and enthusiastically, creating an atmosphere of togetherness to honor the nation's heroes.
