BANDUNG (June 3, 2024) - Dhini Setia's (26) determination to improve her family's economic condition is slowly paying off. The burn survivor has been working as a housekeeping staff in the laundry department of Hilton Hotel Bandung since mid-July 2023. The former vocational assistance student of Sentra Wyata Guna Bandung is very happy because she can earn an independent income.

"I get paid Rp 100,000 per day. Apart from personal needs, the money can also be given to parents. Alhamdulillah, I was well received here.  I am guided and taught by my leader and coworkers," Dhini said happily.

Dhini also said that she has to travel from her home in Lembang to Bandung City for 25 kilometers by public transportation every day. However, her enthusiasm is far greater than her tiredness. She never skips work or late to work. Work is done as well as possible according to the schedule and shifts that are obtained.

Dhini's sincerity in working certainly garnered appreciation and praise from the Executive Housekeeper of Hilton Bandung Hotel, Rian Abdiansyah. According to Rian, Dhini's performance as one of his team deserves a thumbs up.

"At first I had doubts that she couldn't keep up, but it turns out she is committed to her schedule. Never late even though her house is far away. Her performance is okay, stable. And I salute her, she never complains about being placed anywhere," explained Rian.

Dhini has proven that physical disability is not a barrier to success. She believes that other disabled friends have the ability to succeed in their own way, as long as they are brave and confident.

"Just try first. Who knows, the small steps we take today are the door to success in the future", she concluded motivatingly.
