Riyadi (62) from Brebes Regency and Heni (45) from Bangka Belitung. They are a husband and wife who have slowly managed to get out of poverty and live an uncertain life on the streets.
Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini a few months ago found the two of them working as scavengers in Central Jakarta by the side of the road and then took Yadi and Heni to a temporary residence at the "Pangudi Luhur" Center in Bekasi owned by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
There, Heni attended vocational training for some time until she was given entrepreneurship assistance services by opening a culinary stall at the ATENSI Creative Center. Meanwhile, Yadi is also one of the beneficiaries who are channeled to work at PT Waskita Karya.
