Through the Indonesian Economic Heroes Program (PENA), which was initiated at the end of 2022, the Ministry of Social Affairs graduated 1,322 PENA Program Beneficiaries (PM) whose income was above the Minimum Wage for their respective City/District. This number consists of 1,191 PM from regular social assistance program (bansos) participation, namely the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Basic Food Assistance Program, while the rest are PMs recorded in the DTKS. Beneficiaries are ready to let go of social assistance because they have achieved economic independence.

To make product packaging more attractive, the Ministry of Social Affairs collaborated with Tata Rupa Nusantara to create packaging, branding, and logo designs for PENA UMKM products. Here the Beneficiaries are given knowledge about how to compare their products so that they have added value and can be more competitive with other products.
