Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini and Deputy Chairperson of Commission VIII DPR RI Diah Pitaloka moved quickly to respond to the emergency landslide disaster that occurred in Kebon Kelapa Village, Cibogor Village, Central Bogor District, Bogor City on Tuesday afternoon.
Social Affairs Minister Risma immediately brought logistical assistance worth IDR187 million from Bekasi main warehouse to Bogor City. The assistance consisted of ready-to-eat food, 20 units of tents, 25 units of mattresses, 25 units of blankets, 25 units of mattresses, 20 packages of family kits, and 2 units of portable generators.
Arriving at the location, the Minister of Social Affairs led the evacuation, especially children and the elderly who were still around the disaster site, to a safer place.
"We will assist evacuation to a safe place (the Andiga Taruna Foundation Building). We also have a disaster post at the Inten Soeweno Integrated Center in Cibinong and the Pangudi Luhur Integrated Center in Bekasi. We will continue to supply logistical assistance. The safety is prioritized," explained Social Affairs Minister Risma. .
At the same time, the Ministry of Social Affairs team, assisted by residents, worked hand in hand to bring logistical assistance to the evacuee camps at the Taruna Andiga Foundation.
Met at the location, Social Affairs Minister Risma said that the handling of evacuees would continue. For child evcauees, the Minister of Social Affairs sent his team to provide psychosocial support services.
"Later, there will be a team from the Ministry of Social Affairs providing psychosocial support services that will help children to heal trauma," she said in front of the media crew.
After evacuating and bringing aid, Social Minister Risma and Diah Pitaloka distributed logistical assistance to the elderly and children who were already in the evacuee camps.
"Alhamdulillah, this is a quick response from the Ministry of Social Affairs, preparing logistics and evacuating residents to safer places. Logistics will be monitored because the posts are close, in Cibinong and Bekasi, such as mattresses, food, drinks, and oxygen," said Diah Pitaloka.
Diah also said that cooperation with the city government is needed to immediately develop a plan for this disaster management.
Desi (39), an evacuee at the Taruna Andiga Foundation, is grateful for the assistance provided. "Alhamdulillah, the assistance has arrived. The assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs was the first to arrive. We need to cook, we can't sleep. Thank you for the food assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs," she said.
In addition to distributing logistical assistance and helping evacuate residents, Social Affairs Minister Risma also visited the location of the Sinar Kasih Funeral Home, South Bogor, where the victims who died from the landslide were buried.
Social Affairs Minister Risma handed over compensation to the heirs of the victim Jefri Butar Butar who died as a result of this disaster.
