Indonesia Grieves,
What you are seeing is a new visual of the atmosphere of Mamuju City, West Sulawesi. Several buildings, which were originally standing firmly in the city, collapsed as a result of the earthquake on Friday (15/1) in the morning. While we are trying to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, another disaster will befall our brothers in Majene and Mamuju, West Sulawesi.
No less than 5,000 houses and public buildings were damaged, and even collapsed, shaken by the strong earthquake. The earthquake, which occurred at 2 a.m. local time, also caused 68 people to die. Today, thousands of people still choose to live in evacuation posts.
We, from the Ministry of Social Affairs, are sorry and we are here to ease the burden on our brothers there. Bangkit Majene, Bangkit Mamuju, Bangkit West Sulawesi.
