Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini attended the Al Hidayah Kalibiru Mosque in Cilincing on Tuesday (1/11). The presence of the Minister of Social Affairs this time was in order to fulfill the invitation of Social Service organized by the Indonesian Farmer Fishermen Movement (GANTI).

In front of the residents who were present, the Minister of Social Affairs invited the community, the majority of whom are fishermen, to overcome existing problems.

"I just want to ask, what is needed. Later we will negotiate which part is mine (Ministry of Social Affairs), which part is KKP (Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries)," she said while preparing a small notebook.

The main problems faced by fishermen are the lack of clean water and high fuel prices. For this reason, the Minister of Social Affairs said he would facilitate fishermen to get subsidized fuel specifically for fishermen and would distribute tools that could distill seawater into clean water that could be used for daily life.

Previously, the Ministry of Social Affairs carried out a distillation program that turned turbid water into clean water that was ready to drink in several sub-districts in Serang Banten Regency and several other areas. According to Risma, this success can also be applied to residential areas of fishermen in Cilincing.

On the same occasion, General Chairperson of GANTI, Rokhmin Dahuri appreciated the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs in CIlincing. "We thank the Minister for being present among us fishermen in Kalibiru, North Jakarta," he said in his speech.

The former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries during the era of President Megawati expressed GANTI's readiness as a fishermen's organization to cooperate with the government in an effort to improve the welfare of fishermen.

Meanwhile, at the end of his activities in Cilincing, the Minister of Social Affairs distributed 50 basic food packages to the fishermen who were present.

Also present at this activity were the Director General of Capture Fisheries at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Muhammad Zaini, Head of the Marine Maritime Potential Service, Admiral dr. Suradi, Head of GANTI for DKI Jakarta Region, Addis Abeba MR, and members of the Cilincing MUSPIKA (district leadership meeting).
