On Thursday (14/3), Minister of Social Affairs Risma directly visited several areas in Pesisir Selatan Regency to see the needs of people affected by floods and landslides, including the need for clean water which they currently really need. Apart from basic needs such as food, clothing, and clean water, the lack of lighting is also one of the things that Social Minister Risma is worried about because it could endanger residents.
Therefore, the Minister of Social Affairs also handed over two complete generator units so that they could help provide information to residents. Social Minister Risma will also assist with heavy equipment to ease the process of cleaning up mud which is still piled up quite high in settlements and roads. Even though starting again felt difficult, the Minister of Social Affairs appealed to residents and the local government to get up and keep moving.
