CIRACAS (October 7, 2024) - The faces of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Assa'adiyah Attahiriyah students in Ciracas District, East Jakarta seemed enthusiastic about welcoming the arrival of Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf. During his visit on Monday (7/10/2024), the Minister of Social Affairs who is familiarly called Gus Ipul handed over various sports equipment and educational game tools to support the learning process at the school.

On this occasion, Gus Ipul advised the students to be useful to others. “Hopefully, they will become people who can benefit others, the nation, and the country. Insha Allah, they will become leaders in the future,” Gus Ipul prayed for the students.

Gus Ipul mingled with the students and asked some of them to come forward. Yasmin, who is in grade 2, came forward bravely and read Pancasila aloud. There was also Syauqi who read the surah At-Tin. Gus Ipul praised their courage and gave them gifts as a reward for their bravery.

Not long after, Gus Ipul invited the children to sing the Indonesia Pusaka song. Not only the students, the teachers also sang Indonesia Pusaka led by Gus Ipul. Solemnly, Indonesia Pusaka echoed in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Assa'adiyah Attahiriyah.

Sports equipment was symbolically handed over to the Head of MI and also to several students. The students were so enthusiastic to receive the game tools and books.

In addition to handing over various sports and game facilities such as basketballs, futsal balls, badminton equipment, stationery, and reading books, the Ministry of Social Affairs also provided counselling as part of the Social Campaign to Prevent Social Violence Against Children. This campaign aims to prevent increasingly prevalent bullying, especially in the school environment.

Principal of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Assa'adiyah Attahiriyah Suyati appreciated the presence of the Minister and also the efforts in preventing bullying. “Thank you very much Mr. Minister for being willing to be here. I really did not expect it,” said Suyati.
