Ministry of Social Affairs Receives 7 Public Service Innovation Awards from KemenpanRB
JAKARTA (October 8, 2024) - The Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia won an award for public service innovation in the Prima Service Gebyar event in 2024 organized by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB). This award was received directly by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Robben Rico on Wednesday (8/10) at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, South Jakarta. The Ministry of Social Affairs was named as one of the agencies that succeeded in implementing public service innovations that are inclusive and friendly to vulnerable groups.
The event with the theme
“Realizing a Transformative, Innovative, and Inclusive Public Service
Ecosystem” was held as an effort to measure the success of Impactful
Bureaucratic Reform in Indonesia. At this event, the Ministry of Social Affairs
won 7 awards consisting of 1 award for Vulnerable Group Friendly Public Service
Development, 1 Award from the Top 5 Innovation Sustainability Group, and 5
Awards from the Top 5 Innovation Replication Group.
The 7 awards were given to the
Ministry of Social Affairs Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), namely the
Kartini Tamanggung Bina Grahita Social Rehabilitation Center (Kartini
Temanggung Integrated Center), Sentra Handayani Jakarta, Sentra Paramita Mataram,
Sentra Phalamartha Sukabumi, Sentra Dharma Guna Bengkulu, and Sentra Pangurangi
Takalar. “Congratulations to the 7 centers that have done extraordinary work”,
said the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Robben Rico.
Robben emphasized that the
centers that have managed to get the award to be a motivation for other centers
for the following year. “Thank you to all of you who have worked so
extraordinarily”, he added. Robben also advised the 7 awardee centers not to be
complacent and to continue to improve service quality.
The innovations made by the
Ministry of Social Affairs in practice have a positive impact on society,
especially vulnerable groups. Beneficiaries with mental disabilities, victims
of drug abuse, victims of radicalism, and the elderly are involved and it can
be proven that they can be empowered and have a role in building independence
and being able to contribute to social life.
This award is also a motivation
for the Ministry of Social Affairs to continue to improve the quality of
services in line with the government's vision to create public services that
are modern, efficient, and responsive to community needs.
