JAMBI (3 June 2021) - After being included in the Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS), dozens of residents of the Remote Indigenous Community (KAT) of the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) in Jambi Province received Prosperous Family Cards (KKS) for the Basic Food Card Program at the Bukit Suban Village Office , at the end of last May (31/05).
The head of the Sarolangun Regency Social Office, Juddin, said that the assistance was a form of transition from the temporary Cash Social Assistance Program (BST) to a regular assistance program.
"Today the a number of KKS were handed over to 26 Beneficiary Families (KPM). For those who have not received it is currently being processed in the data collection," said Juddin, Monday (31/05).
The handover of KKS for KAT SAD residents in Sarolangun Regency will be carried out in several phases, 47 KPM in Phase I, 148 KPM in Phase II, and soon.
All assistance, he continued, cannot be separated from the population administration process as one of the requirements that must be completed.
"The process takes time and not all data is valid or equivalent in the Central Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) data. Therefore, it is necessary to have an active role from the Village, District, facilitators, as well as Jenang and Temenggung SAD to team up in collecting data," said Judin.
The Sembako Card Program will be disbursed to KPM KAT SAD in the amount of IDR 200,000/KPM/month which is channeled through the Himbara (State Bank Association) account. The assistance can be used at the e-warong (Electronic Warung Gotong Royong) in Bukit Suban Village, Air Hitam District, to buy nutritious food at lower prices.
According to the President's directive, the Sembako Card Program is to fulfill the nutritional needs of underprivileged families such as the needs of carbohydrates, animal protein, vegetable protein, vitamins, and minerals so that in the long term it will reduce stunting rates.
The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to improve the quality of life and improve the welfare of the Remote Indigenous Community (KAT) residents gradually, either through meeting basic needs or through increasing access to basic social services.
In addition to providing assistance for the Sembako Card Program, the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Directorate of KAT Empowerment implements social empowerment policies and programs through participation and partnership roles, for example in the form of improving and strengthening the quality of social environment facilities, and KAT livelihoods.
