Supri lives with his wife, Yuliani Mendrofa (29) and their child on Jl. Keramat Abadi, Lubuk Linggau Timur II District, Lubuk Linggau City, South Sumatera.
Even though he has physical limitations, his enthusiasm for making a living by running a business is quite large. Knowing Supri's condition, the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) through "Budi Perkasa" Center in Palembang responded quickly by carrying out an assessment.
With the help of Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) for Entrepreneurship from "Budi Perkasa" Center in Palembang, Supri opened a business selling ornamental fish with initial capital of IDR 2 million. Then, in 2023, with business development capital worth IDR 1.5 million, Supri opened a counter business.
“We helped (him) twice. When Covid-19 pandemic broke out, we helped ornamental fish businesses. Meanwhile, in 2023, we helped him in the form of a counter business," said an officer at "Budi Perkasa" Center in Palembang, Ahmad Fahrudin.
Because he was so enthusiastic about working and wanted to be successful, he also opened a business accepting used goods in the form of plastic bottles, mineral water glasses and used cardboard to resell it to collectors. The income from the business of collecting used goods is around IDR 5 million per month with a profit of around IDR 600,000 - IDR 700,000 per month.
Previously, Supri had rented a shophouse for his business. Since it was sold by the owner, he had to move from the shophouse to his parents' to run his business. The house is about five kilometers from Supri's rented house.
Supri is increasingly enthusiastic about running his business, especially after March 1st, 2024, his wife gave birth to their first child, named Aqila Silviani Hartadi. "Budi Perkasa" Center in Palembang provided assistance in the form of nutritional needs to his wife, as well as baby equipment.

Besides, MoSA provided another ATENSI Entrepreneurship assistance in the form of developing the basic food stall business by adding several types of merchandise to the stall according to the results of the assessment to help his economy conditon. MoSA together with the Social Service and Social Rehabilitation Companion in Lubuk Linggau City will continue to monitor the development of Supri's business.
