Collaborating with Kompas Humanitarian Fund Foundation, MoSA Will Soon Build 11 Integrated Prosperous Homes in East Aceh

EAST ACEH (February 1, 2023) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini paid a working visit to East Aceh Regency, Aceh Province.  Minister Risma was present to lay the first stone for the construction of an Integrated Prosperous Home (RST) in Seuneubok Simpang Village, East Aceh Regency, Aceh Province.

Integrated Prosperous Home assistance will be provided to 11 beneficiaries in Seuneubok Simpang Village, East Aceh Regency in collaboration with Kompas Humanitarian Fund Foundation.

"Because of our limited budget, we are collaborating with Kompas to build this Integrated Prosperous Home. A total of 8 units will be assisted by Kompas Humanitarian Fund Foundation and 3 units from MoSA," said the Minister.

In the process of building the Integrated Prosperous Home, Social Affairs Minister Risma asked men to contribute their labor to build the house.  The involvement of the men will be rewarded according to local regulations.

"If the homeowner wishes, he can take part in building this house, we will pay according to local regional regulations. For example, in Papua the results were good, because the people were careful in building the house they would live in," said the Minister.

This Integrated Prosperous Home design is labeled as an earthquake-resistant house.  Starting from architectural design, material selection, and layout.  This is adapted to the conditions in Aceh which is prone to earthquakes.

Before the construction of the houses began, Minister of Social Affairs admitted that she had first provided empowerment assistance for the 11 beneficiaries above.

The assistance consists of a chicken farming business, a food stall business, and a mobile spice sales business.

This entrepreneurship assistance is worth a total of IDR 119,472,496.

It didn't stop there, Social Affairs Minister Risma invited the community to dialogue regarding empowerment according to the community's abilities.  Some apply for assistance to empower grocery stalls, assistance for barber businesses, and assistance for selling fish.  Social Affairs Minister Risma immediately asked her staff to record these needs.

Seeing firsthand the conditions and needs of the community in Seuneubok Simpang Village, East Aceh Regency, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kompas Foundation Rusdi Amral felt fortunate to be able to directly inspect the location.

"We are fortunate to be facilitated by Ministry of Social Affairs to be here, to see firsthand the needs of the community. Hopefully, we can immediately build what is needed and this assistance from Kompas Daily readers can benefit the people of East Aceh," said Rusdi.

The Regent of East Aceh Mahyuddin appreciated the arrival of Social Affairs Minister Risma for the second time.  Previously, in 2022, Minister of Social Affairs Risma came to distribute PKH and Integrated Prosperous Home assistance.

On the same occasion, Minister of Social Affairs Risma together with kitabisa.com also handed over donations worth a total of IDR 73,266,573 for Anugerah Agustina Br Butar-Butar, a 7-year-old child suffering from hydrocephalus, a resident of Seuneubok Simpang Village.

From Minister of Social Affairs, this boy also received Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) in the form of nutrition and necessities.  Then 16 children who were recipients of the Integrated Prosperous Home received assistance in the form of school supplies, and 11 recipients of the Integrated Prosperous Home received basic food assistance.  Assistance for 7 persons with disabilities in Seuneubok Simpang Village.  The total value of assistance is IDR 35,914,400.

ATENSI was also handed over by Minister of Social Affairs to 99 children at Baitul Huda Child Welfare Institution (LKSA) East Aceh Regency worth a total of IDR 59,400,000 consisting of nutritional assistance and personal hygiene equipment.

This assistance is managed by Medan Insyaf Center and Aceh Darussa'adah Center which are the Technical Implementation Units of MoSA

This visit was also attended by Special Advisor to the Minister for Communication and Mass Media Don Rozano, Special Advisor to the Minister for the Requirement of Social Welfare Services and Potential Sources of Social Welfare Luhur Budijarso Lulu, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kompas Humanitarian Fund Foundation Rusdi Amral, Acting Regent of East Aceh Mahyuddin, Head of Medan Insyaf Center and Acting Head of Medan Bahagia Center Iman Imaduddin Hamdan, Head of Aceh Darussa'adah Center Susi Mulyati and kitabisa.com staff Maulana.
