Commission VIII DPR RI Appreciates MoSA’s Performance for Reaching 97.42% Budget Realization

JAKARTA (7 June 2022) - Commission VIII DPR RI appreciated the performance of the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA). The positive assessment of the people's representatives was based on the 2021 MoSA’s budget of IDR 108,093,553,130,000 which has been realized in the amount of IDR 105,305,627,076,017 (97.42%).


"I would like to convey my appreciation for the realization of the Ministry of Social Affairs' budget which has reached 97.42%. This realization is relatively high among other Ministries/Agencies," said the chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Yandri Susanto in the Commission VIII meeting room (06/06).


Yandri's statement was disclosed at a Working Meeting between Commission VIII and MoSA on the topic of Discussion of Preliminary Discussions on the 2023 State Budget; Evaluation of the Implementation of the 2021 Budget; and Performance Evaluation of the Implementation of the 2022 Budget.


The Working Meeting was chaired by Yandri Susanto, attended by Deputy Chairperson Diah Pitaloka, Deputy Chairperson Tb Ace Hasan Syadzyli, and representatives present both offline and online.


On this occasion, through her presentation, the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini said that the 2022 MoSA’s budget of IDR 78,256,327,121,000 has been realized IDR 40,243,939,732,411 (51.43%).


"Based on the ministries/organizations level budget realization update as of June 4, 2022, MoSA is ranked first out of 85 ministries/organizations with an average budget realization of 33.05%. MoSA is also ranked first in budget realization from 34 ministries with an average budget realization of 32.68%," she said.


In his statement, Yandri hoped that the Ministry of Social Affairs would continue to maintain budget management performance. One of them is by ensuring budget management runs transparently.


Yandri explained, the need for accountability includes budget management in national priority programs such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) and Cash Social Assistance (BST). The legislator also advised the Ministry of Social Affairs to guide the provisions on budget management as stipulated by the Supreme Audit Agency.


"We need to encourage the Ministry of Social Affairs to uphold the principles of budget accountability. So that the MoSA’s assistance to beneficiaries can be better and on target," said this PAN politician.

The Minister of Social Affairs ensures that MoSA maintains and strengthens budget transparency and accountability. In managing the budget, MoSA always works and adheres to the principles of good financial governance.
