"Dharma Guna" Center Distributes ATENSI Assistance to 100 Beneficiaries in South Bengkulu Regency

SOUTH BENGKULU (30 March 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Dharma Guna" Center in Bengkulu distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) worth a total of IDR 142,863,480.

The distribution is a direction from the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini so that the ranks of the Ministry of Social Affairs are sensitive to the problems faced by the community. Previously, integrated assessment has been carried out for beneficiaries as well as data verification and validation.

"This assistance is hoped to ease the burden on the beneficiaries. In particular, this assistance is also intended to increase the nutritional needs of the poor and vulnerable groups," said Head of the Dharma Guna Center in Bengkulu, Syam Wuryani, during the distribution activity at the South Bengkulu Regent's Office in Manna (03/30).

Present on the occasion were the Regent of South Bengkulu Gusnan Mulyadi, the Head of the South Bengkulu Regency Social Office Efredy Gunawan and other stakeholders.

The assistance was handed over directly by the Head of the "Dharma Guna" Center Syam Wuryani and the Regent Gusnan Mulyadi.

"The ATENSI assistance provided is in the form of basic food packages, nutrition, personal care equipment, educational game equipment, and accessibility aids. In the future, the assistance will be distributed in eight other districts," said Syam Wuryani.

Moreover, Regent Gusman stated that the community should be grateful for all the conditions they are facing. "God will give the best to his people. Behind shortcomings there are advantages. Behind difficulties there must be convenience," he said.

He asked them not to give up hope. The government will not be silent and will assist. "Thank you to the Dharma Guna Center in Bengkulu for providing attention to residents in South Bengkulu," said Gusman.

Assistance reached 50 people with disabilities, 30 elderly people, 10 children and 10 people from vulnerable groups. Accessibility assistance for people with disabilities is in the form of five wheelchair units. So the total ATENSI assistance package for South Bengkulu Regency is 100 packages with a total value of IDR 142,863,740.

The ATENSI distribution through the "Dharma Guna" Center in Bengkulu was carried out for 4 days, namely March 29 to April 1 2023.

On the first day, the team distributed assistance to Pino District and Ulu Manna District in South Bengkulu. The assistance was symbolically handed over at the South Bengkulu Regent's official residence for Kota Manna District, Pasar Manna District, Manna District, Bunga Mas District and Kedurang Ilir District.

On the third day, the assistance was distributed to Checurangan District, Air Nipis District, Segini District and Pino Raya District.
