MAGELANG (6 June 2021) – A bright future is everyone's dream, especially teenagers who are looking for identity.
Everyone might have fallen to the wrong choice in the past. But the spirit of chasing to be better in the future is the key to success.
"Son dear, you still have future, you can get any achievement you want, just don't repeat it again," said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini to Dani, 16, in Magelang, Central Java, Saturday (5/6/2021) afternoon.
Dani and four of his friends met the Social Minister, while demonstrating their vocational skill in motorbike service in the automotive group.
"They need activities and assistance, one of which is channeling their energy for positive things to support their efforts to be independent," said the Social Minister.
Not far from Dani's place, a number of teenagers in uniforms nimbly demonstrated their skills in managing cafes & restaurants, such as preparing food, fried bananas and coffee of various flavors.
“I tried it… delicious! The flavorful coffee prepared by the still improving young baristas is comparable to those from cafes & restaurants," said the Social Minister.
The Ministry of Social Affairs supports the behavior change of these teenagers, because they are national assets that must be saved and supported to be successful.
"There is nothing that cannot be changed in this world. As long as that person is willing to change and God is Forgiving," she said.
It is important to invite the youth to have a heart-to-heart dialogue, listen to what they want and their plans for the future.
"This is important! We usually treat them the way we want. This approach must be changed," said the Social Minister.
The state is present for all citizens without exception, not only for disaster victims, persons with disabilities and the elderly but also for young generation
