Establish Strategic Partnerships, MoSA Encourages Media to Increase Publications of Social Welfare Handling Programs
Romal Uli Jaya Sinaga, Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs, appreciated the positive contribution of the media in supporting various policies of the Ministry of Social Affairs in the social welfare development agenda. "The media is an important partner of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Through the media, the Ministry of Social Affairs program policies can be conveyed. Furthermore, the public also participates in development," Romal said during a media visit to the Tribunnews.com office in Palmerah, Tuesday (22/08).
Present on that occasion, Tribunnews News Manager Rachmat Hidayat, the editorial team and also the Tribunnews business team.
Romal again emphasized that his presence with the staff was to stay in touch, improve and strengthen synergy with the media. "In the future, the Ministry of Social Affairs will continue to improve programs to deal with extreme poverty and vulnerable groups. We are sure that together with the media, including the editorial staff of Tribunnews, these noble programs will increasingly benefit the people," said Romal.
Other important programs are care for people who have been sick for a long time and can only lie in bed, or handling victims of Human Trafficking Crimes and many other examples. The Ministry of Social Affairs has intervened on a wide scale and with full support. On the other hand, the Ministry's efforts have provided many benefits to the community.
"Our arrival is also to inspire the media to strengthen the amplification of good news. Publication of positive results from the Ministry of Social Affairs program and also the stories of beneficiaries who are being handled or have succeeded, will motivate the community to be independent and empowered," said Romal.
Romal also invited the media and the public to get to know the Ministry of Social Affairs better. With this understanding, it is hoped that the media and the public can actively help oversee the transparency of social assistance and the performance of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"For example, the problem of Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS). Many do not know how it works. Even though we already have an innovation in the form of the cekbansos application. With this application, people can monitor the latest situation of social assistance recipients. Whether they are really poor, have died or something else and report it through the proposed rebuttal feature if they are not eligible to receive social assistance," said Romal.
Responding to this, Tribunnews News Manager Rachmat Hidayat stated that the public does need education about the Ministry of Social Affairs programs. He hopes that the Ministry of Social Affairs will be more active in publishing educational content because many people are not yet educated.
"People don't need to be afraid because there is a Ministry of Social Affairs that is a solution. Currently, many people have not been educated because everyone's cognitive abilities are not the same," said the man who is usually called Dayat.
