Improve the Quality of Integrated Data Management, MoSA Holds Training for Provincial and Local Government Technical Teams

PADANG (27 February 2023) - The Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini emphasized that her staff should enhance the credibility of the poverty database as well as rely on the system. It is also essential to strengthen the competence and professionalism of data management officers.


For this purpose, the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) periodically organizes training for operators of the New Generation Social Welfare Information System (SIKS-NG).


"It is hoped that through this training, the participants who are SIKS-NG operators can increase their competence in processing and presenting valid data for agencies as an effort in poverty reduction," said the Head of the Social Welfare Education and Training Center (BBPPKS) in Padang, Hasim.


The implementation of the SIKS-NG Training Batch-11 was held on 22-25 February 2023 at Campus II BBPPKS Padang, West Sumatra. Participants consist of operators from regional and provincial governments.


Hasim added that through this training, it was hoped that participants would understand the policies and mechanisms for managing Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) at the Social Office using SIKS-NG. In addition, the participants are hoped to be competent and skilled in using the SIKS-NG application for managing DTKS.


Moreover, participants are also expected to follow up on the results of the training when they return to their respective offices.


The Head of Administration Department of Data and Information Center, Mardi Brilian Saleh, representing the Head of Data and Information Center delivered the core material on policies/regulations related to SIKS-NG and DTKS Management.


Apart from modules, demonstrations and practices were also provided for participants. They were guided by the SIKS-NG Application Technical Team from the Social Welfare Data and Information Center (Pusdatin Kesos).


As many as 71 participants attended the training. They were from the Provincial/City/Regency Social Office of Riau, Riau Islands and Jambi.
