MoSA Distributed Direct Cash Assistance Cooking Oil Rp19,3 billion in Kepri

TANJUNG PINANG (May 20th, 2022) – Ministry of Social Affairs continues to distribute Direct Cash Assistance / Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT) in form of Cooking Oil in some regions. In Kepulauan Riau, there are 64.354 Beneficiary Families that received BLT Cooking Oil.

They are located in 7 regions, such as Bintan Regency, Karimun Regency, Kepulauan Anambas Regency, Batam City, Tanjung Pinang Citu, Lingga Regency, and Natuna Regency.


In some region, the distribution of BLT Cooking Oil was held after Eid Fitr. It is because the locations are included to the 3T region (frontier, outermost and least developed regions). Ministry of Social Affairs collaboration with PT. Pos Indonesia to distribute BLT Cooking Oil.


“The distribution of BLT Cooking Oil still on going in some regions in Kepri Province. Other than because of 3T regions, it also because there so many beneficiaries that go to another city to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr,” said Exuctive Manager Post Office Tanjung Pinang Eko Pradinata in Tanjung Pinang (20/05).


Eko and his staff from Post Office Tanjung Pinang ensured to continue encourages the distribution of BLT Cooking Oil to the beneficiary that did not receive the BLT yet. Eko said that the distribution in the outermost region like Tanjung Pinang have a problem with the nature.


“In Tanjung Pinang, the most challenging place is Natuna. We use ship to reach the location to distribute the assistance. The sailing from Tanjung Pinang to Natuna takes 14 days, in one way,” said Eko. If the climate were not good, the journey must be delayed. “Because the ship cannot continue the journey, and it might take more than 14 days,” he said.


Related to the National Immunization Day, Ministry of Social Affairs also distributed another assistance besides BLT Cooking Oil. Ministry of Social Affairs through Abiseka Center, distributed assistance to fulfil the nutrients need. “The assistances are including rice, egg, and milk,” said the head of Abiseka Center Agus Hasyim Ibrahim.


The total amount of assistance is 97 packages for the beneficiaries from the proposal of the Social Welfare Office Tanjung Pinang City.


Agus Hasyim hopes that the assistance can be useful in the middle of this situation when the Covid-19 is still going on.
