SURALAGA (30th July, 2022) - This is the confession of Azmi, one of the children in Suralaga District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

He admitted that he was happy and excited because he received assistance in the form of room renovation from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Ministry of Social Affairs carried out room renovation for Azmi and Rachel, 2 children from Suralaga District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (30/7).

"Thanks to the Ministry of Social Affairs, now I can sleep in a separate room from the others, I have my own room," he said.

Azmi, one of the children whose room was renovated, also expressed her happiness at getting new things for his room.

Room renovation assistance worth Rp. 10 million is equipped with mattresses, pillows, bolsters, study tables, study lamps, light bulbs, carpets, fans, curtains, mirrors, slippers and cupboard.

Ministry of Social Affairs also equips houses with fans, curtains, mirrors, dish racks, spoons, dispensers, bicycles for schools, as well as prayer equipment and the Al-Quran.

This room renovation assistance is part of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) which is escorted by the ‘Dharma Guna’ Centre in Bengkulu belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Room renovation aims as one of the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Affairs to provide protection to children, in their smallest environment, namely family.

On the same occasion, ATENSI Assistance was given to 210 children with a total assistance of Rp. 314,907,000 at the Embulan Boroq tourist attraction located in Anjani Timur Dua Hamlet, Anjani Village, Suralaga District.

The assistance was in the form of school supplies such as t-shirts, shoes, bags, books, markers, origami paper. The Ministry of Social Affairs also provides assistance with personal hygiene equipment, nutrition, educational game packages and baby equipment.

"The state through the Ministry of Social Affairs is here to provide full protection by providing assistance to the needs of children, both love and others. I hope this is done not only on National Children's Day, but every day," said Head of ‘Dharma Guna’ Centre in Bengkulu, Syam Wuryani.

The head of ‘Dharma Guna’ Center in Bengkulu, Syam Wuryani, said that the distribution of ATENSI assistance was part of National Children's Day 2022, the culmination of which would be held in East Lombok Regent's Office, West Nusa Tenggara on August 1st, 2022.

The Sub-district Head of Suralaga, Nur Holil, appreciated the series of National Children's Day 2022 activities carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs, especially those carried out in his area.

"We are happy because our children are also happy. This activity is at the Embulan Boroq tourist attraction so that children can enjoy the fresh air. Thank you to the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs for involving Suralaga District in the National Children's Day 2022 activities and helping our community, especially for children with special needs," he said.

He also stated his commitment to realizing child-friendly areas, one of which was by issuing a Village Regulation related to the prohibition of child marriage.

"This village regulation has been implemented in 15 villages since September 2021. This early marriage can disturb the next generation because children born from early marriages are usually weak, easy to get ill, and stunted growth," he said.

The activity of distributing assistance in the series of National Children's Day 2022 was enlivened by traditional dance performances from Sulamul Muhtadi Kindergarten

In addition, there is also a place for children to play with various games such as Snakes and Ladders, Engklek, Congklak and Hulahop.

The children who were accompanied by their parents were also happy because they could swim in the Embulan Boroq bathing pool.

Lilian (10), one of the children from Suralaga District, said she was happy and excited because she received assistance in the form of bags and shoes.

He promises to study hard so that his dream of becoming a doctor can be achieved. **
