WONOGIRI (February 5th, 2024) - The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) through "Antasena" Center in Magelang and Wonogiri Regency Social Service move quickly in providing full assistance to the rape victim in Wonogiri, starting from assistance dealing with health conditions to the rehabilitation process. Cases of sexual violence are of particular concern to the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini.

Following up on this, "Antasena" Center in Magelang carried out a comprehensive assessment to determine the victim's needs. The team accompanied the victim to carry out a medical examination. The results of the examination showed that the victim did not have any sexually transmitted diseases (HIV negative).

It didn't stop there, the Head of "Antasena" Center in Magelang, Supriyono, and his team also provided psychological support to the victim. "We provide hypnotherapy and therapy, such as positive reinforcement so that the victim feels more confident and maintains her desire to work. Previously, the victim had worked abroad," said him in a written report submitted to the Minister of Social Affairs, on Monday (5/2).

Apart from psychosocial support, MoSA also provided Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) for the victim and her family, such as additional nutrition packages, personal hygiene equipment, and other special equipment. MoSA continued to coordinate with the Social Service and social companion in assisting the victim during the conference process at the District Court.

Regarding the victim's desire to work, Supriyono revealed that he would facilitate it. "We will coordinate with the Social Service and social companion to motivate victims in learning targeted language courses as preparation for working abroad in the future," he said.

The perpetrator N (53) is known as the victim's stepfather. He had committed this criminal act 10 times. This incident was revealed in October 2023 when the victim's boyfriend borrowed the victim's cell phone. He found an indecent chat through WhatsApp from the perpetrator. It made her tell everything to him. Knowing about this, the victim's boyfriend immediately told what he had heard about the incident to the victim's biological parents. Then, they reported the case to Wonogiri Police. The perpetrator was detained at Wonogiri Police on Thursday (18/1) and now is being processed legally.
